![]() ![]() Our goal is to create smaller and more focused singleplayer experiences revolving around one SCP at a time. Additionally, we have been cleared to use assets and systems that we had created and devised for 'SCP Unity' in our own projects, so they won't have gone to waste either. What is most important is that over the more than three years of development of 'SCP Unity' we have collected a huge amount of skills and experience that we can now put to use. We're not a company - we're a group of passionate people that refused to quit. We're united in our passion and drive for the making of games. The good news is that despite the end of development of 'SCP Unity', the whole development team wanted to stick together and form this new group. As he legally owns Aerie Gaming Studios and major parts of the source code, there is nothing we can do but respect his decision. It came to us as a complete shock and immediately we requested to be allowed to continue working on the game after Zornor90 and Jalokivet had stepped down as project leaders, however no such compromise was reached. ![]() On Monday, the 18th of January 2021, we were informed by 'SCP Unity's project owner Zornor90 that due to declining health as well as new responsibilities, developing 'SCP Unity' had become too much of a burden and that he intended to cease its development and let the team go. ![]() We were all in agreement that after the shutdown we wanted to stay together and continue making games - and that's exactly what we're going to do here. We have been responsible for the development of 'SCP Unity' for the past three years before its development was abruptly cancelled in January 2021. We are Project Aethon and we consist of the former 'SCP Unity' development team. ![]()
